Coffee Anyone?
Franciscan made an impressive number of shapes and sizes to serve beverages, and complemented
them with a variety of tumblers, cups and mugs.
Some of these pieces will be shown again with the serving pieces, but are here for size and
shape comparison. Descriptions are from left to right. Dimensions for the pieces shown are the bottom of the page.

Turning the lid to a "closed" position keeps the contents hot. Show are three different sizes and two different
shapes of Gurnsey jugs.

El Patio has two styles of demitasse cups, the style on the left is from the catalina molds, the style on the right was created for the El Patio line. The El Patio style seems to be harder to find.
All demi saucers are not created equal. The El Patio saucer is 4 3/8 inch diameter,
cup well of 1 1/2 inches and has an even, gradual rise from the cupwell to the rim.
Catalina style demi saucers are a bit wider (4 1/2 inches) with a larger cup well ( 1 5/8 inches).
The saucer is flat, and then rises quickly to the rim over the last 1/2 inch, suggesting a coupe shape.
Mugs came with several style handles. Here are some examples of the
wood and metal styles that were available. These handles are easily removed
turning the mugs into juice tumblers.
